Are you wondering if a Health Coach can help you? Are you thinking, "It's the end of the year 2016 and what have I done to be healthier? Maybe I need a wellness coach who can be supportive and encouraging as I make changes in my life, but I don't know how the process works."
What kind of training does a Health Coach have, you might ask.. First, my Health Coach training was through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. It was a year long process during which I was trained in over 100 dietary theories and counseling skills.
We had some well-known instructors such as Deepak Chopra, Dr. Joel Fuhrman and Julia Cameron.
If you were to call me for a complimentary appointment, we would schedule it at your convenience. The first meeting we would have would be to discuss your background and health information. There is a form with the questions and I would go over it with you. Two questions I would ask would be to inquire if you had any health concerns and at what point in your life you felt your best? How would you answer those questions?
We would discuss whether or not you take medications and/or supplements. Do you have a list of those products in your pocket? Do you know why you take some of them?
Another topic would be your food. What foods did you eat as a child and what is your food like these days? Can you reflect back to your childhood and remember the details of your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks? Do you still crave some of these foods?
Do you cook or take out many meals?
This article is just to give you an idea of some of the ideas we would discuss. The meeting would also be to determine if we could work together and if I could help you.
